On February, 17th, 2017, our “2GA” form, a few 1”TU” and “TCOM” students have taken part into a school outing to Paris in order to visit the National Assembly. We were accompanied by four teachers (Mrs. Laurence and Djemaoui, Mr. Dufour and Lahmar) and by Marius Pellet ( the president of the National Association of War Veterans and the Resistance Friends). We caught the train early in the morning at 6.34 a m going to Gare de Lyon. We went into the Parisian underground to get to the National Assembly, where we were received at 10.00 am by a guide and by Mr Renaud Gauquelin, the deputy of the 7th district of Lyon thanks to whom we could visit the National Assembly. We could see the long corridors, the different rooms and the Chamber where the French deputies vote the laws in our country. The visit was over at 12.00 pm.
Then we could discover the monuments and the most visited places of the capital city such as the Eiffel Tower, the Trocadero, the Champ de Mars, the Arc de Triomphe, the Tuileries Gardens, the Louvre Gardens and the Elysée Palace. We could walk all along the Champs-Elysées.
We came back to Lyon around 7.30 pm with the head full of memories . We thank Vaulx-en-Velin townhall and our deputy Renaud Gauquelin who offered us this very nice day.
